watercolors
you used to be like watercolors–
muddled.
like too much liquid was in the paint–
clouding and blurring the lines,
making all images become one.
now, i see you clearly,
just the right amount of water
is in the paint–
and the final project is beautiful,
hung in a gallery–
two bodies intertwined,
no longer muddled
no longer clouded
no longer blurred.
